Roberta (Leisch) Ware, 75, of Littleton died on December 8 at Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer after a brief illness.

She was born in Cranston, R.I., on September 20, 1934, daughter of the late Edward and Lillian (Martinek) Leisch, and was the wife of the late Robert Ware, who died in 1984. She grew up in West Concord and was a graduate of Concord High School in 1953. Roberta was married to Robert in 1955. Robert joined the Army and he and Roberta lived in Okinawa, Japan, England, Turkey, then returned to the U.S., where the settled in Littleton.

Mrs. Ware worked as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service from 1971- 1985. She was active at the Littleton Council on Aging and was a member of Menwith Hill Alumni Association in England.

Her survivors include a daughter, Andrea L. Ware of Long Beach, CA; a son, Kelly J. Ware of Ayer; a sister, Ann Michelson of Surprise, AZ; and a niece, Leslie McCosky. There will be no Visiting Hours, A Graveside Service will be held at Westlawn Cemetery, Littleton, on Friday at 11 a.m.
