A Child’s Christmas in Wales: Come to Phillip’s Hall, First Parish Church, on Fitchburg’s Upper Common, when Cornerstone Performing Arts Center brings Dylan Thomas’ poem, A Child’s Christmas in Wales, to the stage through Dec. 13.
Performances begin at 7 p.m. and 2 p.m., depending on the date of the performance. Ticket prices for most performances are $15 for students/seniors and $18 for adults. Children’s Gingerbread Party: 10 to 11:30 a.m. Village Nursery School invites you and your toddler to a morning of gingerbread-themed activities and crafts at our Gingerbread Party! Join us at our school located at 40 Poor Farm Road, Harvard, for play, art, refreshments and fun as we celebrate the holiday season. Children Can use a range of art materials to create a craft, make a gingerbread treat, and enjoy exploring one of our large, open rooms with a variety of activity centers. Hanukkah Party: 4 to 7 p.m. The annual Groton Jewish Community Group’s Hanukkah Party will be held at the Lost Lake Fire Station, 185 Lost Lake Drive, Groton, from 4 to 7 p.m. The party is a family-friendly potluck dinner for all ages and all are invited. The Messiah: 3 p.m. A Far Cry, a professional, Jamaica Plain-based chamber orchestra (afarcry.org) will play as the Nashoba Valley Chorale and Littleton High School Chorus perform Handel’s The Messiah, at St. Anne Church, 75 King St., Littleton.
