Murphy Insurance Agency is sponsoring a Toys for Tots Drive at its seven locations in Bolton, Groton, Harvard, Hudson, Marlborough, Mendon and Medway and is reaching out to the community to support families in need.

“Because we talk with so many people on a daily basis, we’re very aware of the increased number of families facing financial challenges this year,” said Dennis F. Murphy, Jr., CEO of D. Francis Murphy Insurance Agency. “By organizing this toy drive and being a drop-off spot, we hope to ensure happier holidays for children in need and their families.” Murphy served in the Marines himself, which adds an extra personal element to the agency’s drive.

To help increase public awareness, the Agency is promoting the drive in conjunction with its holiday music sponsorship on 105.7 WROR with hopes of generating awareness and a large response. On Dec. 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the WROR Street Team will be at the Agency’s Medway office located at 133 Milford Street in Medway. WROR’s Loren and Wally will make an appearance as well as holiday characters.

Toys are needed for children ages newborn to 18 years.
