GROTON — Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a University of Massachusetts Lowell student from Lowell.

On Dec.2, Jeffrey Boczenowski was found unconscious on Hoyts Wharf Road about 7 a.m. Emergency crews that responded to a 911 call from a passerby who found Boczenowski gave him CPR and transported him to Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer. Boczenowski later died at the hospital.

Groton Police Chief Donald Palma has said Boczenowski had no external injuries. Palma declined to release additional information on his death, saying the investigation was continuing. Police are waiting for the autopsy report from the medical examiner’s office.

A Groton-Dunstable Regional High School graduate, Boczenowski majored philosophy at UMass Lowell.
