Ethics Commission Confirms Jefferson/Wormser Probe Kicks Off Thursday

PUBLISHED: | UPDATED:

As first reported accurately by the Harvard Hillside on Oct. 9, the Massachusetts Ethics Commission has now publically confirmed that there are, indeed, Ethics hearings scheduled for Harvard School Supt. Thomas Jefferson and former Harvard School Committee member Paul Wormser.
The news was formally announced via Ethics Commission press release issued late day Friday, Nov. 6, the same day that the Harvard Hillside reconfirmed with a follow-up report that the hearings were, indeed, on for Nov. 12. Please see the links here to see Ethics Commission filings for more information on Jefferson and Wormser.

Day one is scheduled for this Thursday, November 12 in Boston. The Harvard Hillside will be there to continue to provide you accurate, unbiased coverage of this important event.

The Harvard Hillside outpaced the other two weekly newspapers in town with accurate coverage two full weeks before any other media outlet.
In what is now proven to be incorrect, one Harvard newspaper erroneously trumpeted a headline Oct. 23, “No hearings scheduled, says Ethics Commission.’

The story opened, “Reports in the local media that Harvard Schools Superintendent Thomas Jefferson and former School Committee member Paul Wormser are scheduled to appear before the Mass. State Ethics Commission in November appear to be premature at best…”
