Sandy Pond Road resurfacing is well under way. We are looking to prepare the road for the binder course on Friday in an effort to have the roadway safer for travel over the Halloween weekend. This will also enable us to put the finish course on next week and close out the job as soon as possible.

In order to do this, we will need to close Sandy Pond Road tomorrow (Thursday, Oct. 29) from Snake Hill to Westford/Willow Road so the finish grading can be completed for paving on Friday, Oct. 30.

Signage and detail officers will be at both ends of Sandy Pond Road (at Snake Hill and Willow Road) to divert the traffic to Route 2A.

I realize this is an inconvenience and short notice; however, it is necessary to wrap this job up for the season.
