PEPPERELL — The Police Athletic League Shooting Program for ages 12 to 16 is beginning Sept. 26 at 9 a.m. at the police station.

The program teaches firearm safety, as well as competative shooting.

Parents must sign up participants at the police station prior to Sept. 26. Sign-up involves a permission slip and a $15 fee for each participant and may be done during normal business hours. Class size is limited.

It is mandatory for all particiants to take the Sept. 26 safety class. Without it, range shooting in Oct. 3, 10, 17, and 24 classes at the police firing range will not be allowed.

Competition will also be conducted at the range with torphies presented for first, second, third, places and most improved shooter.
