I have written several times about what I believe to be bad decisions made by the Board of Selectmen.
Many people, myself included, have noticed that during the last two meetings, town business has been RUSHED over. If the chairman thinks Ayer town business is not important enough to discuss, then maybe he needs to consider stepping down as chairman.
I always assumed that these meetings were for discussions of the people’s business. Backdoor politics is so very unprofessional, and dedicated people, such as Ms. Conley, deserve more respect than what was shown by this sorry selectmen.
The power the board has is given by the taxpayers and residents. Maybe WE, the people, need to look into just how much power the board should have. We expect and deserve OUR business to be discussed.
