REGION — After suffering a 4-1 loss at the hands of the Leominster Diamondbacks, the Townsend Astros rebounded with a resounding 11-2 win over the Whalom Greys. The winning pitcher was Leo Leclair, who helped his own cause by going 5-5 at the plate, with three runs scored and three RBI. Second baseman Bill Phillips chipped in with three hits and a pair of runs-batted-in, while Shawn McGuirk scored three runs.
The Astros now have a 2-1 record in the Central Mass. Over-40 Baseball League.
