AYER — The Board of Selectmen has called two Special TownMeetings for Monday, June 8.

The first warrant — the so-called “Super” Town Meeting to run concurrently with the towns of Shirley and Harvard — seeks voter approval of zoning changes to facilitate redevelopment of Vicksburg Square in the Devens Regional Enterprise Zone.

The second Special Town Meeting will commence immediately following the “Super” town meeting and will feature a single article specific to Ayer and proposed by the Board of Selectmen to amend the town’s Finance Committee bylaw to allow an elected member of the Board of Health to serve on the Finance Committee so long as they recuse themselves from voting on matters affecting the Board of Health.

Town meeting convenes at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of Ayer Middle/High School.
