Scholarship poker tournament

On Sunday, March 29 the first annual Ken Blanchette Scholarship Poker Tournament will be held at the Bull Run Restaurant, 215 Great Road, Shirley. Entry fee for anyone who pre-registers before the day of the tournament is $75 while entry fee on tournament day will be $85. The tournament is limited to 200 entrants, so early registration is encouraged. Top prize, based on 200 entrants, will be $3500. All proceeds will go to a scholarship for a student-athlete from each of Ayer High School, Bromfield School, Groton-Dunstable Regional High School, and North Middlesex Regional High School. NM Pop Warner seeks coaches

North Middlesex Pop Warner is currently accepting letters of interest for all levels of coaching both cheer and tackle football. We are also looking for coaches at the new Tiny Mite flag football division and Tiny Mite cheer. Interested parties should send their letter to NMPW, P.O. Box 59, Townsend, MA. 01469. Lacrosse registration

The North Middlesex Youth Lacrosse Association is still accepting registrations for this spring’s season. The NMYLA has both girls and boys teams at the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth grade levels. Lacrosse registration

Registration for the 2009 Groton-Dunstable Youth Lacrosse Stick League for children ages four through seven is now open. The stick league program is a fun-based introduction to lacrosse and is a co-ed instructional league. The program will run every Sunday at 11:00 a.m.

Softball players needed

A local co-ed softball team is looking for two strong playing and reliable women to join the team. Games are played in Milford, New Hampshire on Sundays. If interested, call Dean at 978-433-0932.
