Town clerk’s office closed. Selectmen have not yet voted whether to close Memorial Hall on the day after Christmas. The town offices were closed on the Friday after Thanksgiving, however.

* ABC MUSIC AND ME: ABC Music and Me is a preschool oriented Kindermusik program for ages 2-4. It is offered in monthly units with weekly 30-minute lessons. At $50 per month, every child registered will receive a full-colored family guide, home CD and a new instrument every other month. If a parent registers their child for three months, they will receive a free Kindermusik T-shirt! You may come to observe a class at anytime. Classes will be held in Memorial Hall, 272 Main Street. Sessions will be held on Jan. 6-9 and on Jan. 13, 20 and 27, Feb. 3. The session is 9:30 to 10 a.m. You must preregister for each of these sessions by the 15th of each prior month to the start of the session. * ABC FOLLOW ME: ABC Follow Me is a children’s play time and story time combined with music and movement program. Being offered is a series of parent/child programs devoted to encouraging families to engage in fun, physical activities together. Children will have the opportunity to play, run, jump, throw, catch and socialize in a playgroup environment. Each week a different theme will be introduced and the story and activities will go along with each theme. Beth Anne McManus will lead the weekly sessions. Sessions will be held in Memorial Hall on Thursdays: Jan. 8, 15, 22 and 29, Feb. 5, 12 and 26. The 9:15 to 10 a.m. session is for walkers, age 2, and the 10:15 to 11 a.m. session is for ages 2-4. Cost is $42 for the seven sessions. Daily rate is $7 per class per child. Make check out to Townsend Recreation and bring to first session.

Proj. Graduation
TAP basketball fans and the general public are invited by Project Graduation committee members to stop by Corrie’s Arm Candy on Saturday, Dec. 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. during basketball games at North Middlesex Regional High School to look over a selection of designer-inspired handbags.
A portion of the proceeds will go directly toward supporting Project Graduation.
According to organizers, there is a wide range of styles available and pricing to suit even the tightest of budgets. The handbags make great holiday gifts.
Ashby events
The Ashby Free Public Library will be open on Monday, Dec. 22 from 1- 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, Dec. 23 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The library will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 24 and Thursday, Dec. 25. The library will be open Saturday, Dec. 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The library will close at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31.
