P.A.T. earned an impressive win, thanks to some great goaltending, quick puck movement and hard shooting.

Zach Bingham started the ball rolling at 7:31 in the first period with a goal, set up by the hustle and passing of linemates Donny Frederick and Mathew McCarthy. Tyler Reil scored, assisted by Jarod Dussault just 13 seconds later.

Reil tallied his second goal of the game about a period later after an unassisted rush. Mathew McCarthy finished off the scoring with a goal after quick passes from Frederick and Bingham.

Hustle awards went to David Hurley and Cameron Johnson.

P.A.T. Squirt 1’s continued their roll on Sunday morning against Malden/East Boston. By the end of the game, P.A.T. was passing, skating and shooting at a very high level and were on fire. Contributing to the scoring were Don Frederick (three goals), Cameron Johnson (two goals), Mathew McCarthy (goal, assist), Tyler Riel (goal, assist), Zach Bingham (two assists) and Jarod Dussault (two assists).

The hustle awards went to Brian Walters and Joe Sheridan.

Acton/Boxboro 3

P.A.T. 1

It was bound to happen sooner or later, but P.A.T. suffered their first loss in many weeks as Acton/Boxboro came to play and outskated their long-time rivals.

Acton/Boxboro struck first at 8:49 in the first period, but P.A.T.’s Hunter Newsham answered with a goal one minute later. The play was up and down for both sides as the game wore on, but Acton/Boxboro’s hustle eventually paid off with two more goals

The hustle awards went to Katie Babineau and Jake Fitzgerald.
