REGION — The North Middlesex Wranglers defeated the Millbury-Sutton Raiders 19-6 to capture the Central Mass. Pop Warner Pee Wee Super Bowl. The Wranglers, guided by the coaching staff of Tom Zech, Ryan Zech, Chris Lyons, Brett Davis and Joe Stephens, finished with an overall record of 10-2. Coach Stephens and his son, Jake, were not on hand for the Super Bowl victory as they have relocated to Kansas.

The Wranglers took an early lead on a touchdown by Tyler Zech. The conversion kick was affected by a strong wind and was just right of the post.

The Wranglers worked hard to add to the lead over the remainder of the first half. They got close on a long run by Calvin Rivera, but they were unable to capitalize as the clock wound down and they took a 6-0 lead to intermission.

North Middlesex put the game away with two second half touchdowns, plus a conversion pass by Matt Wilson.

They preserved the lead and the Super Bowl championship, getting some great plays from Matt Wetherell, Kyle Cushion, Corey DaSilva, Christian Fogerty, Paul Naumann and Zack Davis. Two touchdown attempts were blocked by Brad Stumpf.
