BOSTON — Bromfield senior Emily Jones kept her individual streak intact with another scintillating effort at the All-State Division 2 Cross Country Meet, but the Lady Trojans had their team streak broken.
Jones rolled to victory over the 5K course with a clocking of 17:50.2. The conditions were slick but Jones decimated the field, well-ahead of second-place finisher Jenna Davidner, who ran an 18:24.9.
Bromfield finished fourth in the team standings with 135 points, trailing Hamilton-Wenham (53), Bishop Feehan (72) and Wellesley (132). Oliver Ames (160) rounded out the top five.
Other scorers for the Lady Trojans were Jacqui Holmes (42nd, 20:37.7), Kristina Kronauer (51st, 20:53.0), Emily Reedich (54th, 20:54.7) and Mimi Narbonne (58th, 20:59.5).
Also competing for the Lady Trojans were Alyssa Swindells (77th, 21:24.4) and Kim West (130th, 22:45.0).
The Bromfield boys team finished 14th in Division 2 with 308 points. Bishop Feehan earned the championship with 104 points, edging out Oliver Ames (107).
Max Flaton topped the Trojans with a strong tenth-place finish with a time of 17:06.7. Other point scorers for Bromfield were Nick Kronauer (73rd, 17:58.4), Sam Dorward (79th, 18:03.8), Tyler Papazian (131st, 19:03.2) and Brendan Chen (140th, 19:20.8)
Mike Moverman of Oliver Ames was the individual winner in 16:04.3.
