Harvard band among Future Stars to take the stage at Bull Run Sunday

SHIRLEY — City Music has announced the band selections for their Future Stars Fall 2008 Showcase. The bands are made up teens, 18 years and under.

This fall’s Future Star performers will be: Brigade of Aces, Friday Night Delight, Unlimited Warfare and soloists Jack Babineau, Corey Knapp and How to Catch Shadows (Brian Dickens). These participants are from Ashburnham, Baldwinville, Harvard, Gardner, Phillipston, Orange, Templeton, Westminster, Winchendon, and Smithfield, R.I., and represent six different high schools.

The bands were chosen from applications based on ability and suitability of music for the all-ages event. These bands will perform with full professional sound and lighting, in a real music venue at the Bull Run Concert stage in Shirley. Food and beverages will be sold during the concert event.

The Future Stars Showcase will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov 23.

Tickets, only $10 in advance, $15 on the day of the show, are available from the band members, the Bull Run Restaurant (978-425-4311), and the City Music stores in Leominster and Gardner. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Gardner Music Boosters.
