HARVARD — The Friends of the Harvard Council On Aging (COA) donated $3,000 to the Elderly and Disabled Taxation Aid Committee (EDTAC) to assist elderly and disabled residents of Harvard defray Real Estate taxes.

On Monday, Nov. 17, Friends of the COA treasurer Renee Senes presented a check to EDTAC Chairman Rick Maiore and committee members Cynthia Dumser and Vicki Smith, town of Harvard treasurer.

“Recently, the Friends of the COA held a very successful fashion show at Fruitlands with a share of the proceeds designated for the Elderly and Disabled Fund,” said Maiore. “Given current economic conditions, this gift provides a much appreciated jump-start for this year’s solicitation campaign for the fund. We hope it will be augmented by the continuing generosity of Harvard residents.”

The Friends of the COA fund-raiser, held Sept. 18, featured Harvard residents modeling fall fashions supplied by Gould’s clothing store in Acton.
