LANCASTER — Are you considering starting up your own Internet business by selling merchandise online?
Four area Post Offices are joining forces to help entrepreneurs get started by presenting an eBay Day program on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 12:30-2:30 p.m., in the Thayer Memorial Library, 717 Main St., Lancaster.
The program is being co-sponsored by the Lancaster, South Lancaster, Bolton and Still River Post Offices. Postal representatives will be available to answer questions. The program will provide an opportunity for persons to learn a quick and easy way to sell and ship merchandise.
The Postal Service offers these seminars as a preferred shipper on eBay and the presentation covers the basics of buying and selling on eBay.
In 2003, the Postal Service and eBay began a partnership that offers eBay shippers a convenient way for both buyers and sellers to estimate shipping costs, request carrier pickup, print shipping labels and pay for posting online.
In 2005, the Postal Service and eBay created a two-to-three hour seminar on how to buy, sell and ship on eBay and Postal Service representatives have been giving these seminars around the nation since early 2005.
