Nashoba Tech accepting nominations for hall of fame

WESTFORD –Nashoba Valley Technical High School is accepting nominations for its Hall of Fame.

The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to honor athletes, teams, coaches and administrators who have made a difference at the school. Induction standards emphasize athletic achievement at the high-school level, personal character, leadership and community involvement. Outside achievements will also be taken into consideration, but in all cases, the inductee must have demonstrated ability, integrity and sportsmanship, and be a credit to the community.

Qualifications:

* Athletes to be inducted must have graduated from Nashoba Tech. Inductees will not be eligible until five years after graduation.

* Coaches to be inducted must be retired from Nashoba Tech for five calendar years.

* Others, such as administrators, support personnel, etc., may be inducted for having made outstanding contributions to the overall athletic program at Nashoba Tech.

* Teams that have managed outstanding achievements may also be nominated.

If you would like to make a nomination, send the nominee’s name, address, year of graduation, sport and years participated, and special honors the nominee received, as well as your name, address and phone number or e-mail address, by Nov. 21, to Athletic Director David Fusco, Nashoba Valley Technical High School, 100 Littleton Road, Westford, MA 01886.

Bullying, harrassment seminar

The Massachusetts Aggression Reduction Center at Bridgewater State College will present a Bullying, Cyber-bullying and Harassment presentation for parents on Nov. 17, 7 p.m. at the Groton-Dunstable Middle School Performing Arts Center.
