Trinity Chapel Strawberry Festival: Trinity Chapel (186 Centre Rd., Shirley — near the Shirley Center common) will hold its annual Strawberry Festival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The rain date will be Sunday June 29 from 12 noon until 3 p.m. There will be food for sale including old-fashioned strawberry shortcake, as well as tabouleh, hamburgers and hotdogs. Check out the White Elephant table — will your next Antiques Road Show find be there for you? Also for sale: Books and VHS tapes, plants (annuals and perennials), children’s games, and delicious home-baked goods. Don’t miss the great bargains at the Silent Auction table where local businesses donate their wares and they are auctioned off CHEAP! Live entertainment will be provided by Shirley’s own Butch Bazillion performing classic and soft rock favorites. Butch will be playing from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Join Trinity Chapel and many fun- and bargain-seeking folks for a great day of fun, sun, food, music, and shopping!

Shirley Doors adn Doorways: This summer’s display at the Historical Society will be all about Shirley Doors and Doorways. There will be samples of various types of doors and the Society would like to borrow some old hardware to display. Photos of Shirley doorways are also needed. The doors may be old or new, plain or fancy, decorated or just ajar. Items to be loaned for the display must be dropped off at the Museum, 182 Center Road, on June 28 so the display can be assembled for the opening reception on Saturday, July12. Breakfast at Trinity Chapel

Everyone is welcome to enjoy a hot breakfast of eggs, bacon, waffles and muffins on Sundays, from 8 to 9:30 a.m., at Trinity Chapel.

The 9:30 a.m. Episcopal service is led by the Rev. Marcia Hoecker. Member John Comeau, aka The Computer Van Guy, has taken on this project as a volunteer.

A donation of $2 is requested for the breakfast.

Childcare and Sunday School are also available.

Trinity Chapel, located at 186 Center Road, is a small, welcoming church with lots of warmth to share with new members. For information call (978) 425- 9041.

Summer in Shirley

Shirley Recreation is pleased to announce the return of the “Summer in Shirley” program, a fun-filled summer experience for boys and girls that have completed any grades, prekindergarten through grade six.

Weekly activities are designed to spark creativity and smiles in a local, non-competitive setting. The program will be available during the following weeks, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.:

* Summer Get-away: June 23 to 27

* Positively Patriotic: June 30 to July 3

* Up, Up and Away: July 7 to 11

* Jammin’ in July: July 14 to 18

* Barnyard Bash: July 21 to 25

* Rockin’ Rainbows: July 28 to Aug. 1

* Wet and Wild: Aug. 4 to 8

* Sweet Endings: Aug. 11 to 15

St. Mary’s 150th anniversary show

St. Mary’s Parish will hold its 150th anniversary Variety Show Nov. 8. The theme this year is The Best of Times: A Night of Nostalgic Variety.

We are seeking volunteers to fill the production staff. We need a stage manager, lighting designer, media technician, graphic designer, musician, and ticket and program committee.
