Men’s Group: 10:30 a.m., Pepperell Senior Center; Good coffee and conversation.

Friday matinee: 12:30 p.m., Pepperell Senior Center; Free movie screenings on the big flat-screen TV; this week, “27 Dresses” about Jane, a perennial bridesmaid (27 times!) who wonders when her turn will come.

Jump for a Cure: Pepperell airport; Food, crafts, and a live radio broadcast, plus lots of skydiving, will highlight a fund-raiser for breast cancer research. All are invited.

Independence Day: 12:30 p.m. parade, town hall to Nissitissit Middle School (Chace Avenue); “Rockin’ Rib Festival” 1-4:30 p.m.; games, music and food, with fireworks at dusk.

FIT Class

Get in great shape this summer with Functional Interval Training at the Pepperell town field on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 6:30 a.m. starting July 7. The first class is free.

In FIT Class you’ll work with a wide variety of equipment and techniques designed to challenge cardiovascular endurance, agility, and balance. FIT Classes can include anything from jumping rope to throwing medicine balls, from running in place to crawling and jumping movements.

Summer sports

Mr. Wolfendale and Mr. Margueritta have a great sport for the kids this summer for three one-week sessions, July 7-10, Aug. 4-7 and Aug. 11-14

The sports sessions, for grades three to eight, will be held 12:30 to 3:15 p.m. at Comisky Field, at a cost of $40 per week.

At least 50 are needed for the classes to be held.
