FITCHBURG — Buoyed by sweeps in both the 800 meters and the mile, the Bromfield girls earned a MidWach C track championship by slipping past Lunenburg. The Lady Trojans finished with 195 points, edging Lunenburg which scored 190 points.

Bo Dunn set a meet record in capturing the 800 meters with a time of 2:17.90, ahead of teammates Emily Jones and Lisa Reedich, who were second and third.

In the mile, Liz Lee finished on top in 5:21.07, followed by teammates Kat Long (second, 5:33.56) and Jennie Ives (third, 5:37.89).

Katherine Finnegan continued her record-breaking season by setting a meet and school record in winning the long jump with a leap of 17-9.5. She also finished second in the triple jump (34-2), and anchored the winning 4 X 100 relay team of Nikole Jordan, Henley Siegrist and Lexie Daniells.

Hillary Lewis enjoyed an outstanding meet, winning the 100 hurdles in 17.01, capturing the 300 hurdles in 49.80, and finishing second in the shot put (28-10).

Other Bromfield first-place finishes came from Emily Jones in the 2-mile with a meet record clocking of 10:56.98, Mimi Narbonne in the 400 meters with a personal best time of 60.22, and the 4 X 400 relay team of Kim West, Narbonne, Reedich and Dunn, who ran a 4:22.57.

The 4 X 800 relay team of Katie Keefe, Alyssa Swindells, Margaret Kibler and Maddie Darden finished second in 10:52.37.

Earning third-place finishes for the Lady Trojans were Emma Rothkopf in the 2-mile (12:11.33), and West in the 400 meters (62.15).

Picking up fourth-place finishes were Henley Siegrist in both the long jump (personal best 16-4) and the 200 meters (27.65), and Sydney Durand in the 2-mile (12:21.85).

Other point scorers for the Lady Trojans were Jordan (fifth in the 100 meters, 14.43), Elise Bilodeau (sixth in the 100 hurdles, 19.76), Alice Kennedy (sixth in the 400 meters, 66.51), and Marissa Dickson (sixth in the 300 hurdles, 54.78).

The Lady Trojans will compete in the All-District Championship this Saturday at Fitchburg State College.
