LUNENBURG — The Bromfield boys track team opened its season with a 96.5 to 39.5 loss to powerful Lunenburg.

The Trojans earned five first-place finishes on the day.

Max Flaton prevailed in the 2-mile with a clocking of 11:01. Brendan Chen captured the 400 meters with a time of 58.3. Conor Garrison finished on top in the 300 intermediate hurdles in 46.4. Ben Waldman struck gold in the 800 meters in 2:12.8, while Sam Dorward won the mile with a time of 5:05.

Nick Kronauer had a productive day for the Trojans with a second-place finish in the mile and a third-place finish in the 800 meters.

Adding second-place finishes for Bromfield were Garrison in the 110 high hurdles, and Alex Calderwood in the 2-mile.

Notching third-place finishes for the Trojans were Salim Al-Homsi in the 100 meters, Tyler Papazian in the mile, Garrett Kistler in the discus, Kevin Molinaro in the long jump, and Nick Cleary in the high jump.
