CNA training
WESTFORD — Nashoba@Night is offering CNA training beginning June 23.
This 100-hour course includes classroom and practical-skills training at Nashoba Valley Technical High School and clinical experience at a nursing facility.
It meets state and federal guidelines for CNA training and is approved by the Department of Public Health. This program is designed to prepare students with entry-level skills needed to work in a long-term care facility. Interested students must have high school diplomas or GEDs, recent physical exams and TB tests.
The cost of the course is $800. Preregistration is required.

Art on display
GARDNER — The 26th annual Regional Exhibition of High School Art is on display through April 18 in the east wing gallery of the Raymond M. LaFontaine Fine Arts Center at Mount Wachusett Community College (MWCC).
A reception will take place on Thursday, April 17, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The show includes over 300 pieces of artwork created by students at 16 area high schools, including Gardner, Fitchburg, Leominster, Mahar Regional, Monadnock Regional, Montachusett Regional, Murdock, Narragansett Regional, North Middlesex Regional, Oakmont Regional, Quabbin Regional, St. Bernard’s, The Bromfield School, the Winchendon School and Wachusett Regional.
MWCC’s Art Department faculty will judge the pieces and award cash prizes to students during the reception. Music will be provided by the Gardner High School Jazz Band.
Nashoba Tech Summer Experience Program
WESTFORD — Enter the world of a CSI crime lab scientist. See what it’s like to be a chef in your own restaurant. Create your own functioning robot.
The Nashoba Valley Technical High School Summer Experience Program offers hands-on learning and activities for middle-schoolers. Sports weeks in Basketball, Baseball, Volleyball and Softball are also available.. The 2008 program will begin the week of July 14 and end the week of Aug. 8. The days run from 8:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. After-school programs are available until 6 p.m. with advanced pre-paid registration.
All programs run for one week, but students may attend more than one. Students will brown bag their lunch. Multi-week, sibling and early-bird discounts are available. The early-bird deadline is April 30. Registration is open

Future Stars concert
SHIRLEY — City Music is pleased to announce the selection of Friday Night Delight, and band from The Bromfield School in Harvard, to perform at the Future Stars Spring 2008 Concert.
The band has been together since 2006 performing original rock music. It’s currently working on recording its first album, Sweet Nothings, to be released later this spring. For information visit www.myspace.com/elementoffiction.
Also performing will be the bands Blackout, from Ayer Middle-High School, and Antidote, from Francis W. Parker Charter Essential School.
The Show will be held April 13, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Bull Run Restaurant. The cost of tickets is $10 in advance and $15 at the door.
