I have listed some factual information about the Groton-Dunstable School District override. The override is for $136,989 ($106,437 for Groton and $30,552 for Dunstable) for our school district.
This override supports a virtually level-services budget. However, if the override fails, the following will be reduced or eliminated:
Middle School art teacher, $20,000; Middle School physical education teacher, $40,000; High School special education position, $40,000; district math specialist, $10,000; per pupil expenditures, supplies and equipment, $11,535; instructional technology specialist, $15,465. Total: $137,000.
Classroom sizes will remain the same from this current year to the next year. If the override fails, classroom sizes will increase in Middle School art and physical education.
