Ayer-Shirley Youth Football & Cheer parent information night/registration
Ayer-Shirley Youth Football & Cheer will hold a parent information night and registration in the Ayer High School cafeteria on Saturday, April 12 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Please join us for our parent information night. It is an opportunity to learn more about our organization, to ask questions of our board members, and to meet the coaches for the upcoming season. Registration forms will also be available for those who are interested in playing or cheering for our championship Broncos teams.
NM Pop Warner registration

North Middlesex Pop Warner is now accepting applications for scholarships. The requirements are: two years minimum participation; one year minimum volunteer within NMPW; college acceptance letter. Sean Wellington Summer Basketball League seeks teams and sponsors
The Sean Wellington Summer Basketball League is now accepting teams and sponsors for the upcoming 2008 season. This is a men’s league that runs through the end of the summer and is located in Pepperell at the Sean Wellington Courts. The deadline to enter a team is May 16. Lunenburg Phillies tryouts
The Lunenburg Phillies, going into their 5th year, will be holding tryouts/workouts for the upcoming season beginning Saturday, April 12 at 9 a.m. at Marshall Park in Lunenburg, weather and field conditions permitting.
The Phillies, a semi-pro baseball team in the 8-team Central New England Baseball League, is open to players over 18 years of age. Workouts will continue until they commence a 40-45 game schedule which runs from late May through early August.

Lacrosse registration
The North Middlesex Youth Lacrosse Association girls’ registration is still open. Teams are for ages eight to 14, and this is a travel league. The registration for boys in grades five and six is also still open. This is also a travel league. Registration forms are available at www.nmlax.com. If you are a new participant, a copy of a birth certificate is also required. Registration fee is $120. Each participant must also become a member of U.S. Lacrosse. New Challenger Baseball League
A new “Challenger” Baseball League for physically and mentally challenged children, ages five through 18 is now forming. Games will be played every Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. from May 10 through June 14 at Thayer Field in Lancaster. No practices, just games.
Any local Little Leaguers are welcome and encouraged to come and be a best buddy for all the challenger players. Just bring a glove and a fun attitude.
