FITCHBURG — The Bromfield girls indoor track team improved to 4-0 for the season by rolling past Hudson 70-21 and Oakmont 73-18 in a tri-meet at Fitchburg High School.

Hillary Lewis enjoyed a productive day for the Lady Trojans by capturing both the shot put (28-2 1/2) and the 55 meter hurdles (9.5).

Emily Jones won the 2-mile and set a Fitchburg Field House record in the process with a clocking of 10:48.9, the fastest time in the state this season.

The 600 meters was a crucial event for the Lady Trojans as they earned a sweep with freshman Mimi Narbonne finishing on top with a time of 1:48.0, followed by teammates Maddie Darden (1:48.7) and Marissa Dickson (1:51.6).

Bromfield also swept the 1000 meters with Liz Lee capturing the event in 3:18.4, followed by Bo Dunn (3:18.7) and Emma Rothkopf (3:32.5).

Other productive events which keyed the victories were the mile, the 55 meter dash, and the 300 meters. In the mile, Lisa Reedich struck gold with a time of 5:31.4, followed by freshman Sydney Durand, who was second in 6:07.8. In the 55 meter dash, Lexie Daniells prevailed in 7.9, while Nikole Jordan was third in 8.0. In the 300 meters, Katherine Finnegan finished first in 44.1, while Kim West was third in 47.7.

Also notching first-place finishes for the Lady Trojans were the 4 X 400 relay team of Lisa Reedich, Narbonne, Darden and Dunn (4:38.2), and the 4 X 200 team of Daniells, freshman Julia Alexander, West and Finnegan with a time of 2:00.1.

Kathryn Kennedy chipped in with a second place finish in the high jump, and a third in the 55 meter hurdles.
