Tales & Tunes: 10:30-11:15 a.m., Groton Public Library, Sibley Hall; Tales & Tunes for Tots with Mr. Kim.

Annual town bonfire: 6 p.m., Town Field (behind the library); Groton Engine & Hose Company Three’s annual bonfire of used Christmas trees. Trees may be dropped off in roped area (only) behind library, or trees may be picked up for a $5 donation by calling Diane at (978) 448-6333 or by e-mail to daiello@townofgroton.org.

Film Society benefit: 7 p.m., Lawrence Academy Performing Arts Center; “Frequency” will be shown by Groton Film Society, free to the public, as a benefit for David and Valerie Fitzgerald, whose Willowdale Road home blew up Dec. 11. Donations (cash or check only) accepted at the door.

Century old Groton: 2 p.m., Groton Public Library, Sibley Hall; Slide presentation of Groton photos from 1907, taken by Rev. C.W. Turner. Presentation is free and open to the public, sponsored by GPL and Groton Historical Society.
