Dear Mary Ellen Jones:
I would like to express my sincerest thanks for your support in my Eagle Scout project. The project was made a success due to the generosity of all of the people that took time to attend my golf tournament as well as all of the sponsors from local businesses, the Boy Scouts and leaders, as well as all of our friends and family. I was able to raise my goal of $7,690. Those funds were matched by a $7,000 contribution donated by the Ayer High School Boosters Club and the Ayer High Athletics Department.
It was a lengthy project but I am pleased to announce that I have completed the installation of the new bleachers and hope to finish all of the necessary requirements for my badge shortly after the new year.
I would like to thank you personally for providing all of the support and coverage with the wonderful article in your newspaper. Your column certainly helped in my fund-raising efforts and is greatly appreciated. It has been a lengthy project and although our initial goal of completion was behind schedule I am happy that it is finally finished and all of the bleachers are installed. My project would not have been a success if it were not for your help.
