Thank you to all my fellow citizens of Harvard that came out on a frigid December to welcome home one of Harvard’s sons, Cpl. John McClure. What a turn out!
The ceremony exemplified the best of New Englanders during the Christmas season: hearth, home and family.
I am deeply appreciative in the efforts of Ramae Philippou and Lily Baddour, the director of Harvard emergency medical technicians (EMTs), fire Chief Robert Mignard, police Chief Edward Denmark, Cable Channel 12, Blue Star Mothers living in Harvard, Blue Star Mothers of Massachusetts Chapter 1, Girls Scouts and Brownies, Boys Scouts, Cub Scouts, Tiger Cubs, Nashoba Valley Concert Band, PJ and Steve Cronin, the Rev. Gregory Schmidt, and of course the ever-supportive Harvard Town Hall crew, especially Tim, Valeska and Eddie.
Selectman Bob Eubank and Chairman Lucy Wallace — simply thank you.
