Heavy Heart: Noon to 2 p.m., Lawrence Library; Opening reception for Townsend photographer Lauren Ceike, whose show “Heavy Hart” will feature images of her childhood dogs.

Shakespeare, encore: 7 p.m., Lawrence Library; The November performance of “Shakespeare: Lunatic, Lover and Poet” was canceled by the artist due to illness and is now rescheduled. Actor Richard Clark plays 12 memorable characters reciting 25 monologues and soliloquies from Shakespeare’s most famous plays. Free of charge. Registration suggested.

Three Broomsticks: 1:30-3:30 p.m., Lawrence Library; Three “Harry Potter” bands — Roonil Wazib, Creevey Crisis and Justin Finch Fletchley & the Sugar Quills — will rock the library along with games, contests and other wizard activities for all ages. Refreshments will be served at the Three Broomsticks Pub. Registration suggested.
