Costume ideas for 275th Winter Gala

(Note: The 275th Anniversary Committee has postponed the Winter Gala, the final event of Townsend’s 275th anniversary year, until Feb. 2. The event had been scheduled for Dec. 29, then Jan. 26.)

People who attend the Gala at Townsend Ridge Country Club are encouraged to wear a costume based on Townsend’s 275 years of history. Dress as someone who might have lived in Townsend when it was incorporated in 1732 or as someone from 2007 or anywhere in between.

The Townsend Public Library staff has put together a display of costume and clothing books for folks to check out, in case people would like some ideas of what to wear.
