TOWNSEND — The celebration of Townsend’s 275th anniversary continues with the performance of Tracilynne and American Pride.

On Oct. 20, Tracilynne and American Pride will perform in Townsend’s Memorial Hall. The performance is sponsored by Sovereign Bank in Townsend.

Sovereign branch manager Donna Wilde presented a check in the amount of $1,000 to help pay for the event. “Sovereign Bank likes to give back to the community through financial means and active participation in local events,” she said.

“Country Dave” Lamoureaux of the Townsend Activities Committee, Townsend 275th Anniversary Executive Committee co-chairmen Ed West and Tubby Boucher, and executive committee member John Funaiole were all present to accept Sovereign Bank’s donation.

The show will feature several local performers as part of the pre-show entertainment, including Kimberly Pillsbury, Deborahanne Mayer, and Mrs. and Mrs. Country Dave. The performance by Tracilynne and American Pride is one of the few remaining events of the Townsend 275th Anniversary Celebration. The last event will be the Winter Gala, to be held at the end of December.

Tickets for the Tracilynne performance will be available for purchase at Sovereign Bank. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.

“Here at the Sovereign Bank, we are happy that we can give back to the community in some way,” Wilde said.
