HUDSON — The resurgent Groton-Dunstable boys cross country team improved to 4-3 for the season by rolling to a pair of wins at Hudson. The Crusaders took the measure of Hudson 20-32 and rolled past Assabet 15-49.

Hudson’s Luke Doherty was the top finisher over the 3.1 mile course with a clocking of 17:17, but the Crusaders iced the two victories by placing the next five runners.

Kyle Petka finished second in 17:37 to lead the Groton-Dunstable contingent. Steve Lunt was third in 18:02, Matt Carter fourth in 18:03, Joey Biasi fifth in 18:04 and Garrett Partridge sixth in 18:05.

“It was a great race by all and the hard practices are paying off,” said Groton-Dunstable coach Ken Magliozzi.
