CONCORD — Dr. Ingrid Balcomb, Emerson Hospital OB/GYN, has begun seeing patients at Emerson Medical at Sudbury.
Balcomb, who will occupy an office on the first floor of the building, will treat both obstetric and gynecologic patients Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to noon. As the demand increases, this time frame may be expanded to a whole day.
“Any new patients or existing patients that would prefer to see me in Sudbury can be treated here,” said Balcomb.
“Emerson is making quality care more accessible to the communities we serve,” said Christine Schuster, Emerson Hospital president and CEO. “We anticipate that Doctor Balcomb’s availability once each week in Sudbury will result in added convenience for our patients.”
Emerson Medical at Sudbury is the third satellite facility to be opened by the hospital. Emerson opened its Groton Health Center in 2000 and its Westford Health Center in 1998, and plans to open the Center for Specialty Care on Baker Avenue in Concord this summer.
