AYER — Sylvia M. (Brown) Holbein, 59, passed into her eternal rest on Friday, May 4, 2007, of natural causes.

She was born on Aug. 31, 1947, in Hondo, Texas, to the late Chester and Mary Brown. She devoted 21 years of service to Life Care Centers of Nashoba Valley in Littleton, Mass., before becoming ill, where over the years she made many friends.

She is survived by her husband, John Holbein; daughters Tina Holbein, Cheri Holbein and Margaret Latimer; grandchildren Zachary Blouin, Jeremy Holbein, Summer Brooks, the late Mercedes Brooks, Nicole Latimer, Mariah Pulley, Michael Westover, Patrick Goddard, and Elizabeth Goddard; as well as two great-grandchildren. She also leaves two sisters, Susan Glasse and Lisa Brown, and one nephew, Dean Glasse.

She also leaves behind her lifelong companion, Brian Zagwyn, and god-daughter Candice Zagwyn, as well as many friends and extended family.

Sylvia will be remembered for many things, but most of all she was loving, giving and compassionate to everyone and every thing. She was a beautiful woman who loved her friends and family to no depth and will be forever missed.

Her family will be holding a memorial service in honor of her life, to be held Saturday, June 2 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Ayer, Mass., for all to attend.

Flowers can be delivered to 10 Oak Street in Ayer.
