PEPPERELL — The Planning Board looked over plans for an access easement through lot frontage at 21 Powhatan Road, as part of a special permit application filed by Richard and Debra Colangelo. The application was filed to accommodate access to a recently-created lot. The board moved quickly to close the hearing, and without objection issued an approval for the plan.
* In other business, the board endorsed an approval-not-required plan for Shirley Street, and approved the release of a portion of the Beaver Creek Circle completion bond, totaling $35,900.
* Veteran Planning Board member Nicholas Cate was unanimously elected to the position of chairman, replacing the recently-departed Joseph Sergi. Stephen Themelis was elected clerk, and Mark Marston took part in his first meeting of the board as an elected member.
* Prior to the close of the meeting, the chairman received a letter of resignation from the board’s long-time planning administrator. Inez Gove, who has run the day-to-day operations of the Planning Department for nearly 11 years, will end her tenure on June 30. The town will begin a search for her replacement immediately.
