Seniors in June

June is a busy month at the Pepperell Senior Center.

The annual barbecue, sponsored by the Montachusett Opportunity Council, will take place Wednesday, June 20, but tickets should be purchased by the previous Wednesday, June 13, so enough food can be purchased. Tickets are $4.50 each and available at the Senior Center.

A jewelry-making class by Carol Smulligan will be offered June 19 at 1 p.m., for a donation of $2 per piece.

Croquet is a summer sport for those who prefer light exercise, but if that doesn’t sound good then how about horseshoes? Both games are available at the Senior Center, with croquet on tap for Thursday, June 21 at 12:30 p.m. and horseshoes are available any time.

A strawberry shortcake social will be held Friday, June 15 at 1 p.m. for a requested $1 donation.

A representative from the Registry of Motor Vehicles will visit on Friday, June 22, to talk about “Safe Driving for Elders.” The day will start off with the monthly breakfast, beginning at 9 a.m. for a $2 donation, followed by the guest speaker.

All are welcome to attend.
