The Lady Panthers entered the game needing a victory to secure a post-season berth and took no chances, putting the game away with an eight-run first inning. Jess Jones earned the win on the mound with five solid innings, allowing two earned runs and three hits while striking out five and walking one.

Katy Salka paced the Lady Panthers’ offense with three hits, two runs scored and two RBI. Lauren Pires added two hits, two runs scored and two RBI, while Gina Gibson had two hits, two runs scored and one TBI. Danielle Christy and Miranda Carlson each drove in three runs for Ayer.

Ayer finished the regular season with a 9-9 record.

Maddie McEvoy earned the victory for the Lady Crusaders with a route-going effort on the mound, allowing three hits and one earned run while striking out eight. Kerry Alcott (two runs batted in) and Tracey Atwood (two runs scored, RBI) led the seven hit Groton-Dunstable offensive attack with two hits apiece. The Lady Crusaders took control of the game with three runs in the bottom of the first.
