Harvard’s Shaker Hills Golf Club to host Bank of America Championship qualifier

PUBLISHED: | UPDATED:

HARVARD — Shaker Hills Golf Club in Harvard will host the Champion’s Tour qualifying event for the Bank of America Championship.

Players will compete for a chance at one of nine spots in the BoA Championship, scheduled for Friday through Saturday, June 18-24 at Nashawtuc Country Club in Concord, Mass. The total purse for the event is $1.65 million.

Every year the tournament holds a qualifier for those who are not exempt on the Champion’s Tour. The nine lowest scores in the Shaker Hills qualifier on Tuesday, June 19, will earn a chance to play in the main event. Shaker Hills has been welcoming players for this event since the year 2001.

“Shaker Hills can be one the toughest golf courses in New England when played from the back tees and under tournament conditions,” said Mike Herrick, golf professional at Shaker Hills. “It is always interesting to see what the qualifying scores are that make it in to the Bank of America Championship. A few years back, even par was the low round of the day.”
