AYER — Dollard “Del” Bourassa, 77, died at Life Care Center of Nashoba Valley in Littleton on May 21, 2007.
He was born in Lowell on May 22, 1929, son of the late Antonio and Agnes (Mayrand) Bourassa. He grew up in Lowell and attended the Lowell school system.
Mr. Bourassa worked for a brief time at Pollard’s Laundry Services in Lowell and then became a cook at the Monarch Diner in Littleton for a few years. He was best known as a driver for Kleenit Inc. of Ayer for over 45 years. Del had made his home in Ayer for the past 32 years, where he was member of St. Mary’s Church. He liked candlepin bowling, playing cribbage and loved dancing.
Mr. Bourassa is survived by his former wife, Priscilla (Moore) Lambert of Shirley; his children, Laurie and her husband, Edwin Beckwith of Union, Maine, Richard Bourassa and his wife, Maria, of Pepperell, Tony Bourassa and his wife, Elizabeth, of Windham, N.H., Gary Bourassa and his wife, Kathleen, of Shirley, Paul Bourassa of Nashua, N.H., and Christy and her husband, Stuart Sprinkle, of Nashua, N.H. He is also survived by a brother, Camille Bourassa of Dracut, 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. His siblings Lillian, Carmen, Fernandette and Marcel predeceased Mr. Bourassa.
Funeral services were held at the Badger Funeral Home in Ayer on Thursday, May 24, followed by burial at Westlawn Cemetery, Littleton.
