Car Wash in Ayer

Ayer-Shirley Broncos football players will be holding a car wash at the Park Street Exxon station in Ayer on Saturday, June 2 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Help support the players as they raise money for new equipment for the upcoming season.

Football registrations

Ayer-Shirley Youth Football and Cheer is holding football registrations on June 16 at the practice field in Shirley from 9:00 a.m to noon. In case of rain, the registrations will be held at the Shirley Town Hall. All registration forms are available online and will be available on June 16 as well. Soccer tryouts

The Hollis/Brookline Cavalier Soccer Club will be holding fall 2007 open tryouts for boys and girls U10-U13 teams on Thursday, June 7 and Tuesday, June 12 at Nichols Field in Hollis. Registration starts at 5:30 p.m., and tryouts are from 6:00 to 7:30 on both days. The Hollis/Brookline Soccer Club offers professional coaching and a higher level of competitive play. Court Vision Basketball Clinic

The 2007 Court Vision Girls Basketball Clinic will be held at Ayer High School from June 27-29 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for girls entering grades 7-10 in the fall of 2007. The director of the clinic will be Bromfield boys basketball coach Charlie Noonan. The focus of the clinic is to teach the importance of learning basketball fundamentals. The fee is $85 and the check and the registration should be mailed to: Court Vision Basketball, 62 South Shaker Road, Harvard, MA. 01451.

Crusader Basketball Camp

Crusader Basketball Camp will be held from June 19 through June 22 and June 25 at Groton-Dunstable Regional High School and both Groton-Dunstable Middle Schools. The camp is directed by former G-D athletic director Bob Catalini and present G-D athletic director Dan Twomey. The camp teaches fun and fundamentals for boys and girls entering grades 3-8. The cost is $145 (of which $50 must accompany the application fee), with a $45 discount for each additional family member that enrolls.
