Student/Faculty Basketball
The Hawthorne Brook student/faculty basketball game will be held on Friday, March 30, at 6 p.m. in the North Middlesex Regional High School gym, sponsored by the Hawthorne Brook PTO. Admission is $5 at the door with refreshments available. Tickets will be available for $4 during lunch periods at Hawthorne Brook on March 29-30.
Townsend Rec. Volleyball
Recreational volleyball for grades 9-12 will be held at the North Middlesex Regional High School gym. Sessions will be held 6-9 p.m. on March 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22, 27, 29 and April 3, 5, 10 and 12. Townsend Rec. Horsemanship
Townsend Recreation is offering a horsemanship program designed to introduce children to horsemanship.
The course follows a step-by-step approach to safety, care and riding. Students will have the opportunity to learn about different types of tack, grooming, proper tacking, safety and basic riding skills.

Two sessions are being offered at 10 a.m., for one hour, on Sundays, April 1, 15, 22, 29 and May 6 and 20, or on Saturdays, March 31, April 7, 14, 21, 28 and May 5.
This introductory class is for ages 6 and up for the cost of $150. Make check payable to Townsend Recreation and mail to Karen Clement, Recreation Director, 101 Main St., Townsend, MA 01469. At least two students, with a maximum of six, are needed for each session in order to run this program.
