AYER — Daniel Quin, of Scout Troop 3, has attained the rank of Eagle Scout. This accomplishment was recognized by the Board of Selectmen on March 6.

He was presented by Assistant Scout Master Peter Johnston, who has known Quinn since he joined out of Cub Scouts. He said Quin emulated his older brother by striving for the Scouts’ top rank.

“Like his brother before him, he was determined to go all the way with the Scout program,” said Johnston.

Board Chairman Frank Maxant read a certificate of acknowledgment for Quin, whose Eagle Scout project was painting buildings at Pirone Park and Sandy Pond beach.
