The blurry-eyed PAT Mite 2 hockey team may have been a little sleepy from a late night at a pre-game skate at the Worcester DCU Center, but they pulled it together and came out on top against Greater Gardner Youth Hockey.
Declan Delaney and Joey Sheridan led the scoring off in the first period to establish a 2-0 lead. Delaney also scored another goal in the second period and nearly grabbed a hat trick two more times. Griffin Delaney and Joshua Joy both lit the light in the third period to ensure the win.
The game was marked by great passing, evidenced by assists achieved by Jake Robbins, Myranda Robichaud and Mckayla Briggs. Matthew McCarthy was a standout in net and made countless fantastic saves to maintain the momentum and keep Gardner off the board. A great job by all the players and they had a ton of fun doing it.
