Groton Local’s Energy and Green Building interest group would like to thank Kevin Kelly from Groton Electric Light Department for an informative presentation, titled “Ways You and Your Family Can Reduce Electric Energy Use,” and members of the public who attended his presentation on Tuesday, Feb. 6 at Groton Senior Center. About 35 individuals came and engaged in the conversation. The question-and-answer session at the end of the evening was lively!
Thanks, also, to those who contributed in many other ways to the evening’s success, especially the Senior Center for the use of its facility, and to all who support the efforts of Groton Local to work together to find local, sustainable solutions to the global challenges of climate change and the end of cheap oil.
Groton Local works with other groups to build a strong community guided by a fundamental belief that we’re in this together. To date, about 150 Groton residents have completed interest questionnaires. To learn more about Groton Local, upcoming events, and to submit an interest survey, visit www.grotonlocal.org. We look forward to offering additional educational community events in the future. Stay tuned!
Sincerely,
JIM HUBERT
