CONCORD — Emerson Hospital seeks friendly, outgoing greeter volunteers to participate in the hospital’s newly launched Service Excellence program. The person in this position is responsible for greeting visitors and patients as they enter and navigate the hospital’s main campus in Concord, Mass.
An Emerson Hospital greeter has an active role in the patient experience at the hospital. The greeter must be comfortable with proactively approaching visitors and patients and welcoming them to the hospital, either at the main entrance or into the lobby of the John Cuming Building.
Greeters will provide information and directions, refer visitors and patients to reception volunteers for specific information, call for wheelchairs and escort visitors in need of service to their destinations and oversee hand-offs to appropriate volunteers. Greeters work collaboratively with hospital and medical staff and volunteers to help achieve the hospital’s mission of maintaining and improving quality care and service within a professional and respectful environment.
