AYER — Dorothy E. (LaFountaine) Bostwick, 91, died on Feb. 28, 2007, at Apple Valley Continuing Care Center in Ayer. She grew up in Lowell and worked at Carol Shoe Co. in the city of Lowell for many years before her retirement. She had made her home in Ayer for over 25 years in the Pond Street Housing Authority.
Dorothy was the daughter of the late Ruth Hartley Buck of Vermont and was the wife of the late Clayton W. Bostwick, who died in 1982. She is survived by two nephews, Warren J. Bostwick of Lowell and William J. Bostwick of Leominster and also many great-nieces and great-nephews.
A graveside service was held at Westlawn Cemetery, Lowell, on Monday, March 5. Badger Funeral Home of Ayer is in charge of arrangements.
