At their December meeting the Pepperell Woman’s Club was truly in the holiday spirit.
After enjoying a wonderful social get-together, the meeting started with the invocation given by Chaplain Edie Noftall, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by Marge Spence and the singing of “God Bless America.”
The meeting was opened by President Elfie Parker, who welcomed all. It had been brought to everyone’s attention at the November meeting that there were funds left from the birthday celebration, to be distributed at the membership’s discretion. Elfie had mentioned a few choices, such as the VA hospital in Bedford, the music department in our schools, and the Senior Center.
The ladies of the club voted to purchase the digital camera wanted by the Bedford VA; the 16 musical instruments to be used in classes at Nissitissit and Varnum Brook music departments; the new HP printer that is needed at the Senior Center; and to sponsor a dinner at the Senior Center.
“We are very fortunate to live in Pepperell and be able to raise the money we are able to every year for all of our projects,” Parker said. “It is our turn to do something for Pepperell.”
Hopefully we will be able to help with another project the PBA is planning to do in the future.
Thank you, Pepperell for always being there for us. This is a small thank you to all of you through our children and grandchildren, our seniors and our veterans.
Let us keep working together because we can and do make a difference, one day and one smile at a time.
