Picture #3 shows you Ferguson with a lot more natural light inside and new
supporting pillars (blue) and corresponding girder above; the pillars
needed to be put in place before the wall could come down. What is harder
to see is the work they did below the Gray Building to support that
building better and line things up before laying the foundation for the
Picture #4 shows you the view of Picture #2 today. They were careful to
work again and again at the seal between the buildings to get right, but
you can see how much more building there is coming toward you.
Picture #5 shows you, as best I can because the tennis courts are gone and
they have done a lot of work changing elevations on us, the same view of
Picture #1. What you can’t see is that the patio on top of the extension
(which contains two large classrooms for the theatre as well as the
expansion of the auditorium (300+ seats to 500+ seats) and the stage (by
600 square feet) is that the patio wraps around the building moving west
toward Powderhouse Road. It has been suggested that it would be nice place
to hold an outdoor wedding pahty!
