PUBLISHED: | UPDATED:

Picture #3 shows you Ferguson with a lot more natural light inside and new

supporting pillars (blue) and corresponding girder above; the pillars

needed to be put in place before the wall could come down. What is harder

to see is the work they did below the Gray Building to support that

building better and line things up before laying the foundation for the

addition.

Picture #4 shows you the view of Picture #2 today. They were careful to

work again and again at the seal between the buildings to get right, but

you can see how much more building there is coming toward you.

Picture #5 shows you, as best I can because the tennis courts are gone and

they have done a lot of work changing elevations on us, the same view of

Picture #1. What you can’t see is that the patio on top of the extension

(which contains two large classrooms for the theatre as well as the

expansion of the auditorium (300+ seats to 500+ seats) and the stage (by

600 square feet) is that the patio wraps around the building moving west

toward Powderhouse Road. It has been suggested that it would be nice place

to hold an outdoor wedding pahty!

Let me know if you need anything or didn’t receive all 5 pics. We may have

to deliver them another way or you may need me to photoshop them down to

specs.

If you are ever through Groton and have the time (30 minutes), I can show

you around for a hardhat tour. It would be good to see you (again?)…we

have met, right?
